EXPERIENCE: for 10 years I operated an expedition ship among the remote islands of Scotland’s stunning West Coast (see best-seller MISTRESS and COMMANDER published by Sandstone Press). After 10 years at sea, I achieved my commercial qualifications and left Scotland to become a Tour Leader for Abercrombie & Kent in Russia and Central Europe, and Hebridean Island Cruises. Flexing my passport, I established a network of visits for an 80 passenger luxury ship ranging from the High Arctic to Borneo, Singapore and the Indian Ocean. PAGES from my PASSPORT “a rollicking Memoire” Lee Durrell, describes triumphs and disasters as I established these programmes – Madagascar, Norway, Greece and Eritrea are only some of the 45 countries I have worked in personally. I enjoy working as Guest Speaker, Private Guide, Tour Leader & Planner for many organisations, both at sea and on land such as The Ultimate Travel Co., The World, Cazenove+loyd, Belmond, Hebridean Island Cruises, Noble Caledonia, Le Ponant, and Hurtigruten.
